We were a little worried as had never heard or used civitatis and couldn’t find the exact providers name so couldn’t look at reviews etc. We got there early as didn’t know where to go, but 10mins before a man started putting out flags and opening up the activity shed (between the cable car office and toilets. We went in there and he pointed us up the outside stairs to the horses. Laura was friendly and chatty, offered to take photos and loved the horses and spoke good English. The views are fab
Overall we enjoyed the canoeing experience, we wish we knew ahead of time about the challenges of canoeing when the river level is low, as it was today. We got stuck in the rocks a couple of times and had a hard time getting moving again. We ended up jumping into the river to free up our canoe. On a positive note, because we were there in September, during low season, we had the river to ourselves. Made for a peaceful time on the water. The staff was friendly and approachable.
Great guides, incredible views. Was nice to give the hiking legs a break.
